AssetMule gives you powerful editing controls so you can enable your team to personalize assets but with guardrails.

You can set these controls in your templates and for each individual component.

To access the editing controls, click on the component icon on the left side of the section containing the component.

This will open the component settings as a side panel on the right of the template.

There are three levels of editing controls.

The first level is completely unlocking the component so team members who create assets from the template have free range to edit the contents of the component. To enable this level of editing, keep Lock Editing toggled off.

The second level is locking editing of the contents of a component, but allowing team members to swap in alternative snippets. To enable this level, toggled Lock Editing on but keep Lock Snippet Swapping toggled off.

The third level is locking editing of the contents of a component and locking the ability to swap in alternative snippets. In other words, completely locking down the component. To enable this level, toggle Lock Editing on and toggle Lock Snippet Swapping on.

Set your desired level of editing permissions for each component in your template to strike the perfect balance of personalization and brand control for your team.
